M&Ms have been a favourite in many homes for years. However, recently its come to light that M&Ms are not suitable for vegetarians and are also not halal. This is because M&M's contain additives that come from animal products and traces of these can be found in the sweets.

I believe this is unfair as many people who choose to follow vegetarian or halal diets are no longer able to enjoy this product. M&Ms in other countries such as the USA, have been made without these animal derivatives and are suitable for vegetarian and halal diets, so why cant M&Ms UK do the same?
