As a kid I grew up loving the Mexican Candy brand Lucas. The chili powder candy was always so addicting. I would buy them from the ice cream truck all the time. The liquid or powder, I didn't care it was so so good. Growing up I had a lot of health issues and learning problems...still do.

This candy is made with lead. It has twice the amount that has been noted as safe by the FDA. I was eating dangerously high amounts of lead as a kid and had no idea. This poison is still being sold in the US. Kids can still get this and believe me they will because it's different and intriguing.

We need to protect our youth from these dangerous candies. They need to be banned. I've seen these candies all over. I've even seen them at Walmart. They aren't usually sold in stores like that. Mostly mom and pop shops but this is a problem. Kids can die from ingesting lead. 

Saving our youth is the most important thing. They are who is going to save this planet. They are future heroes in the making so please protect them from things that should be illegal like this candy. Please help make a difference. Even if it seems small right now the future will thank you for it.
