Keep Raynor library open 24 hours

The Issue

This school year, the Raynor and Memorial libraries are closing at 11pm as a result of COVID-19.  As many Marquette students know, sometimes our most productive hours are those between midnight and 8am.  With the first round of exams quickly approaching, many students are left without a place to study.

Corona is not a nocturnal virus. With all social distancing regulations in affect throughout the library, we will be as safe, if not even more so, during these late nights at the library as we would be throughout the day.

Doing online classes means students have an even greater need to use the library, and reducing hours is not the way to help students achieve success this school year.  We need to return library hours to 24 hours a day.
