The City of Markham is the only municipality in the area that does not provide snow windrow clearance service to all residents. While Mayor Scarpitti has labeled the City as having the lowest property tax increase, it is important to note that Markham lacks many services that our neighbours (such as Richmond Hill, Toronto, and Vaughan) offer. Given this brutal winter, many residents are unable to clear the windrows created by the snow plows, and we need the City to assist its residents.

I have been requesting that windrow services be added to the City's budget and have only received responses from Mayor Scarpitti, Regional Councillor Joe Li, Regional Councillor Alan Ho, and Councillor Amanda Yeung Collucci. Only Councillors Li and Ho were positive about my proposal.

As a resident at Major Mac and Woodbine for over 15 years, I have experienced many snowstorms, and now is the time to urge our City to implement windrow clearance services! Please join me by signing this petition and show our demands to the City Council!!
