Considering the recent attention that the Gabby Petito case received (which is not undeserved), it has brought light to the fact yet again that missing people are not treated the same.  We Demand Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Instagram and Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone of Twitter to use the technology, functionalities, algorithms to automatically Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to support missing persons organizations, missing persons and families of the missing to help find missing people.  We demand that all missing people’s cases are treated, highlighted and considered the same and that they all get fair attention on social media.

As Siblings of Missing people, International Siblings of the Missing understand first hand, the pain, trauma and suffering that is experienced when you have to take matters into your own hands on social media to try and find your missing loved one.

Description:

Families of missing people use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media platforms to regularly and tirelessly campaign to try and find our missing loved ones.

A missing person might be children or adults who may be victims to Human Trafficking, may have mysteriously of disappeared, may have been kidnapped, may be presumed murdered or many other ways that they go missing.  Missing people can be any color, creed, religion, or sexuality.

What they all have in common is that they are all human beings, with loving families, friends and loved ones who are doing everything g they can to find them.

Often times there is a media bias about which missing person case is highlighted over others.  Some cases never ever received the attention they need.

Most missing persons cases on this planet are posted on social media in a desperate attempt to find loved ones.

We want Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Instagram and Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone of Twitter to help all the families of missing loved ones, by using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (and other social media platforms) to build awareness of the missing people issue.   It is their responsibility to use their platforms to support this petition and support missing persons world wide.

  • We need Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Instagram and Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone of Twitter to automatically feature all missing people (globally) on social media.
