At a crucial time of the year--an introduction to high school testing for freshmen and a closure to midyear grades for college bound seniors--students have missed essential final review time with teachers and peers. With finals continuing as planned, students have begun to worry about a skewed representation of their grades. Rockwood students are capable of more, but the current situation hasn't allowed it. Neighboring school districts have implemented an effective policy allowing for finals only to make a positive impact on students' grades, and Rockwood's reflection of such a policy would be beneficial to both students and Rockwood staff.
