Repatriation flights [India to Australia] by Australian Government for May 2020

Repatriation flights [India to Australia] by Australian Government for May 2020
The issue
Goal: have sensibly priced, properly timed flights if AHC or whoever wants to help citizens to come back home.
In contrast to other parts of the world where public were able to get back to Australia there is a huge drama happening for citizens to come back home.
There was one option of 'Charter flights' which had its struggle where folks had to arrange their domestic travel to only 2 available airports in India: Delhi and Mumbai.
Then came recent news of Australian High Commission driven and organised commercial flights for 28th and 29th April departing from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai - India.
Current problems around these comical flights or businesses:
1. Very short period of time available between the announcement of flights and actual departure. So people face internal travel to airports, miss flights etc.
2. unreasonable prices - does it really looks like government is helping here? 3000.00 for a ticket?! that too planned in a way that mostly people would miss their flight due travel ban! how come one can arrange travel pass in less than 24 hours and get to the airport which is mostly 10-15 hours away from their current accommodation in India?
3. Example: London to Australia or US to Australia, none of these flights were $3000.00? even when travel route is longer than India to Australia!!
4. The whole ticket booking experience is confusing due to not having simple instrcutions
Who ever is allowing this flights from India - I am sure somewhere some government officials are involved - a humble request to them: please be reasonable! how come it has to be so hard for flights from India only?
There is this announcement of Qatar air today(25/04/2020) and departing n Tuesday next week (28/04/2020) charging 2200 USD minimum (i.e. AUD3285.00 per ticket)
There are atleast 3 people in family who would be stuck - they have to pay almost AUD 10,000.00???!!!
