Hello residents of Washington State!

I am here today to legalize raccoons as pets in Washington State. The current legislation in place, WAC 246-100-197 Rabies—Measures to prevent human disease, claims you can NOT have them as pets due to the high number of diseases and Lyssavirus cases aka rabies. My counter argument to this bill is that technology has deemed it irrelevant. When we supply our furry friends with: clean water, food and shelter, we increase their life expectancy from 2-3 years up to 13-20. Raccoons aren't for everyone but I find it ridicules that you can help them out personally, form a bond with them and get fined 750$ for it. Please help me change this current legislation, thankyou.
