The Issue

Update Nov. 16, 2015 - My sister and I are trying to catch strays at our apartment complex and the management gave us another 10 day warning to cure the breach (to stop feeding them) or they will start eviction. We tried explaining about TNR but they do not comprehend. We told the manager that we are feeding only to catch them and that we have rescues and fosters line up. They are not cooperating with us or trying to work with us at all. We have been working on catching them for months and we cannot just stop. We already saved 3 abandoned cats and there are 3 more cats left.

Our lease does not mention anywhere not feed stray cats yet in the notice that was sent to us it mentions it.
By law, Maricopa County considers cats to be  “free roaming animals”, regardless. These free roaming cats (abandoned cats) do not belong to us and therefore do not apply to our policy pertaining to animals on the property.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE APARTMENT COMPLEX AND COMPLAIN, THANKS

We need help to further explain to them about TNR -trap, neuter, release stray cats and what we are doing is helping the community and overpopulation of cats.
