Every year thousands of Punjabis travel to Canada from Punjab and surrounding areas to Study, work and for Tourism Purpose.

Canada houses more than 700,000 Canadian Punjabis, but still it is astronishing that there is no Direct Flight from Canada to Punjab(Amritsar International Airport).

Which leave us with no other option than to travel by taxi from Punjab to Delhi Airport covering 6-8 hours by road.

So we request AIR CANADA to start Direct flight to Amritsar so that Punjabis can travel seamlessly between Canada and Punjab.

ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ, ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਰ ਸਪਾਟੇ ਦੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਲਈ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਕਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ 700,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡਾ) ਲਈ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਉਡਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

ਸੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਟੈਕਸੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ 6-8 ਘੰਟੇ ਸੜਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਲਈ ਟੈਕਸੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਦਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਏਅਰ ਕਨੇਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਉਡਾਣ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।
