As we all know, Toronto have some of the most passionate fans in all of sports. However, Scotiabank Arena often lacks the loud and exciting hockey atmosphere due to the simple fact that many real fans cannot afford to attend games. The building often has a very corporate like atmosphere with minimal energy and this simply does not reflect the passion and energy of Toronto's rabid fanbase. This is disappointing to say the least given the fact that there is so much potential for a loud and energetic atmosphere. Fans of Toronto franchises have proven that they can bring the noise. On the road, Leafs fans often fill up an opposing building with loud GO LEAFS GO chants that can be even louder than those at home. Likewise, Raptors fans also travel immensely well and they frequently take over opposing team's buildings as well.

          At the end of the day, yes, MLSE is a business, but that should not prevent them from making an affordable and fun sports atmosphere. After all, sports and hockey is a staple of the Toronto culture and it is a shame that unaffordable ticket prices strip many of the ability to go support and cheer for their team in person. MLSE, we acknowledge that you need to make profit, but surely you can afford to reduce ticket prices. There are currently many sports franchises that thrive without charging their loyal fans a luxury to attend games. As a die hard Toronto sports fan, it is frustrating that we continue to show constant support, yet are rewarded with the highest ticket prices in the NHL. It is well known that Leafs fans are amongst the best of the National Hockey league and we want Scotiabank Arena to reflect that.
