Manteca opened its current skatepark in 1999, and since doing so have done very few upgrades to the skatepark. They have done more downgrading then anything. The skatepark sits, on most days covered in sand and debris which is extremely unsafe. The skatepark is tucked away in a corner off of center and elm st off of the tidewater bike trail, there has been many instances of people walking by causing lots of problems like fights, or stealing of property or under drinking and drug use. What we are asking from the city of Manteca is that we either want some upgrades and easier access to the skatepark or to simply find a new location for it to be built on. The people of Manteca deserve a better and safer skatepark
