We address those who today hold in their hands decisions that affect millions of people.

We do not speak on behalf of any ideology, party, or country. We speak from a simpler position: that of citizens who observe with concern the course of events and who, in their overwhelming majority, do not see war as a solution.

History has repeatedly shown that armed conflicts leave behind irreparable loss, prolonged suffering, and wounds that take generations to heal. It has also shown that, even after the harshest confrontations, the end always comes through some form of agreement.

If such an agreement is inevitable, the question is simple: why not make it possible sooner?

We are aware of the complexity of current conflicts. We know there are interests, historical tensions, and real difficulties. But we also know that there are political, diplomatic, and human tools capable of opening paths other than confrontation.

Therefore, we respectfully —yet firmly— call for every possible effort to be intensified in favor of:

direct or mediated negotiation,
the strengthening of active diplomatic channels,
the search for realistic compromises,
and the progressive de-escalation of tensions.
This is not about ignoring problems, but about addressing them in ways that do not multiply harm.

This appeal does not arise from naivety, but from a widely shared conviction: most people desire stability, security, and a future — not permanent conflict.

We believe there is a historic responsibility to explore all alternatives to their fullest before accepting violence as a path.

To those with decision-making power, we ask that they also listen to that silent yet majority voice.

Because every step toward dialogue is an opportunity.

And every step toward war is a loss for all.
