Wellness activities such as the Langenhoven Parkrun are essential for the health and mental fitness of members of the community. Due to recent developments the Langenhoven Parkrun may have to shut down because of residential development on the route that is currently allocated.

Due to the shortage of an available alternative route within Langenhovenpark, controlled access from Inibos to the MMM Zoo breeding farm will allow for the continuation of wellness activities such as the popular Parkrun, until development of this area takes place. This will at the same time expose the community of Bloemfontein to the wild in the absence of the Bloemfontein Zoo.

We call on the Mangaung Metro Municipality to grant permission to allow controlled access to the area and thereby ensure that the community wellness needs are met.
