Most of them are aware that BBMP has planned to set rules on 1 dog per flat and 3 dogs per independent house for the second time again. This is highly unacceptable. This is completely wrong and BBMP is questioning the rights of living by every individual. If they say 1 dog per flat and 3dogs per independent house, then they should also implement the rule of 1 kid per flat and 3 per independent house. Sounds crazy??? Exactly it sounds the same with the BBMP rules.My pets are my kids and also as per Animal Welfare Board of India(AWBI) every pet is equivalent to a toddler and should be given the same care and attention. If this rule is implemented, then we would see many dogs being abandoned and as per the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, if anyone abandons or insists anyone to abandon a pet, then it's punishable under law leading to both imprisonment and fine. Rather BBMP can warn the illegal breeders to obtain a proper license, if not those breeders would be brought down as it is again a clear vision of Animal Cruelty. Also make sure every pet owner including the rescued ones to register with BBMP and every pet should obtain a license to how many ever pets they have. With this the backyard breeding would be gradually decreased and more people will go towards the adoption of rescued ones. Trust me there are many out there. Hence, I kindly request you to help me sign this petition so that it reaches the concerned department and help all the pet owners in this regard.
