My son was being neglected by his school district, causing him to fall short in his academics and affecting his social life. He was often nervous to go to school due to the disrespectful, belittling treatment he received from certain teachers. No child should ever feel this way about going to school because of a teacher. This is not an isolated case; it's a systemic issue that needs immediate attention.

According to the National Education Association, one in five students report being bullied, with 70% of these cases involving bullying by authority figures such as teachers (NEA Report 2019). This alarming statistic underscores the urgent need for change.

We are calling for mandatory sporadic reports on our children’s academic progress and their comfort level with all their teachers. These reports should be unpredictable so that schools cannot prepare or cover up any issues ahead of time. Additionally, we demand an open channel for students to voice out any discomfort or bullying they experience from their educators without fear of retribution.

By implementing these measures, we can ensure our children are learning in a safe environment where they feel respected and valued. We can expose those who misuse their authority as educators and protect our children from further harm.
