In December, I lost my baby boy because he was deemed too young to be treated. He was 6 days off from the current age for babies to be helped. He was born alive and healthy, he just wasn’t quite strong enough alone. This heartbreaking experience has led me to understand the urgent need for change in our healthcare system. Every year, thousands of babies are born prematurely worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 15 million babies are born preterm each year and this number is rising. Among these, a significant proportion do not receive adequate medical attention due to arbitrary age restrictions.

We believe that every baby deserves a chance at life from the moment they are born, no matter how early that may be. We call on health authorities and policymakers to mandate immediate medical checkups for all newborns regardless of their age at birth.

This is not just about statistics; it's about giving every child a fair shot at life. It's about preventing other families from experiencing the pain my family has endured.
