Mandate H1B Sponsors To Post Jobs on a Unified Online Platform, not Newspapers

Mandate H1B Sponsors To Post Jobs on a Unified Online Platform, not Newspapers
The Issue
H1B statues currently require companies to post their jobs in random newspapers for a week or so. This allows them to claim that no Americans actually wanted to apply for the job.
How many people do you know reading the classifieds to find high-end (or any) jobs these days? None.
Is there any accountability that if applications were received they were processed fairly? No.
Would it be difficult to make a web-based jobs portal instead? Very little.
----
We propose a requirement for all H1B sponsors to post their job vacancies on a single online job board easily accessible to everyone, either in addition to or replacing the newspaper requirement.
This proposal does not merely offer convenience; it opens doors for far-reaching transparency and fairness. With this united platform, maintaining a systematic record of each job's applicants becomes feasible - from the number of applicants to their rejection reasons coded and in the public domain. Furthermore, a significant layer of human interaction should be mandated before any applicant rejection, ensuring fairness in the process.
At least 85,000 H1B visas are issued per year. However, the more pertinent question stems from how many Americans lacked equal opportunity to these positions due to outdated practices?
Reshaping the legislation concerning H1B visas can not only give all Americans fair access to jobs but also improve transparency in the hiring process. Let's leverage contemporary technology to ensure a fair chance for all to contribute their skills to the American workforce. Please sign the petition.
