Mandate Government Intervention for Drug-Induced Psychosis Victims

Mandate Government Intervention for Drug-Induced Psychosis Victims
The Issue
I am a survivor of addiction-riddled parents. I lost both my parents to drug addiction and spent my childhood abandoned, passed from one caretaker to another. To escape the cycle of addiction, I lived on the streets from age 10 to 18. Despite these hardships, I dedicated myself to helping others overcome their addictions until the methamphetamine epidemic escalated beyond control. A tragic fire set by a meth-addicted individual destroyed my building and forced me to stop my efforts.
Our communities are plagued with crime, death, and despair due to drug-induced psychosis that have gone completely crazy talking to themselves and sometimes a danger to others or themselves. These people no longer possess the Free Will to save themselves, and the government leaves them to die turning a blind eye. Many individuals suffering from this condition are trapped in their own mental prisons but cannot receive adequate help due to current Mental Health Laws that prohibit involuntary sobriety enforcement.
It is estimated that about 40% of methamphetamine users experience psychotic symptoms (source: American Journal on Addictions). This not only affects them but also impacts our communities at large.
We urge the government to revise these laws and allow for enforced sobriety periods for those suffering from drug-induced psychosis. This intervention can potentially save lives by providing victims with a chance at recovery while simultaneously reducing community crime rates associated with drug abuse.
This is not just about enforcing laws; it's about saving lives - those trapped in the cycle of addiction and those affected by its consequences within our communities. Crime is at an all time high. The streets and parks are too dangerous for children to play. Please sign this petition urging government action on this critical issue.
Did you know the Meth eats the Front Cortex of the Brain of the person using that drug or is exposed to meth smoke.
Did you know that same exact brain damage of the Front Cortex of the brain is also in the brain of a person who suffers from Skitzophrenia.
This is why you see people that use drugs going skitzophrenic.
Currently, we do not have any rehab program long enough to outrun a meth induce skitzophrenic psychosis.
It takes a year of not using meth for the Front Cortex of the person with addiction brain to even start growing back.
It take another 4 years of not using meth for the Front Cortex of the person with addiction brain to fully repair itself.
In other words, this is reversible, these people can be saved.
The government is turning a blind eye to this solution, please sign this petition so the Government listens and helps create a healthy society instead of what the Government has currently created for us leaving our communities and citizens vulnerable and in danger.
This current Mental Health Law is inhumane if it allows these unfortunate people that are stuck in a drug induced psychosis to die.
These people are people, and they deserve a chance too.
God Bless, and be safe.
