As someone who deeply values the trust between patients and their healthcare providers, I was shocked to discover that some doctors receive financial incentives to recommend vaccines. This revelation raises serious questions about potential conflicts of interest and the integrity of our healthcare system. 

Patients turn to their doctors for expert medical advice, expecting honest, unbiased recommendations on the best treatments available. However, when financial relationships exist between pharmaceutical or insurance companies and healthcare professionals, this trust can be compromised.

As we learned during the push for the COVID vaccine, some doctors are routinely paid big bonuses to recommend vaccines to their patients so why would they hide this?  Did they recommend it because they think you need it for health reasons or because they will make a lot of extra money? Many bonuses are structured to be paid only if entire practice gets vaccinated and there are many practices that will drop patients if they choose not to get vaccinated, is this for money or health?  There is clearly an ethical dilemna in not disclosing this information to patients prior to recommending and giving vaccines.  

In order to maintain high ethical standards and preserve patient trust, we are calling for legislation that requires all health care professionals to disclose any financial incentives they receive, regardless of where that incentive comes from, for recommending a vaccine before administering it. This transparency is crucial in ensuring patients can make informed decisions about their health care.
