As a parent in UK, I've been forced to take my children out of school to afford the experience of a holiday abroad. This is not an ideal situation but it's the only affordable option. The average cost to take a family of four abroad during the school holidays ranges between £5000 and £8000. In contrast, the same holiday during term time can cost anywhere between £600-£2000.

This stark difference in pricing is exploitative and puts parents in difficult situations where they have to choose between their child's education and providing them with enriching experiences. It's unfair that families are being penalised for wanting to travel when their children are not in school.

We call on all holiday companies to stop this exploitation by significantly increasing prices during school holidays. We demand fair pricing that does not disproportionately affect families with children who must adhere to academic schedules.
