The Gold Coast is a challenging area to navigate with its countless water canals and our heavy reliance on the M1 Freeway as a local road. The long awaited Coomera Connector, and all roads associated with it, was hailed as a respite from these mobility issues. However, the prospect of such roads having a toll fee threatens to leave us right where we began. I implore you to consider the lives of the many Gold Coast citizens who simply cannot afford the extra cost. 
For countless low and middle-income citizens like myself, the introduction of tolls on our local roads would be a significant burden. Our salaries simply don't stretch to cover such extra expenses. The government officials who earn significantly more might be unaware of the hardship toll roads cause for normal people. For us, free movement around our own city is a necessity, not a luxury.

We ask that all roads within and around the Gold Coast, especially the new Coomera Connector and its associated roads, remain toll-free forever. Our assurance in free access to our city is not only a matter of convenience, but for many, a matter of survival.
