Mandate All Presidential Primaries to Occur Simultaneously Nationwide

Mandate All Presidential Primaries to Occur Simultaneously Nationwide
The Issue
As an American citizen, I deeply believe in the value of every individual's vote. Despite this belief, the current system of political party primaries often leaves me, and countless others like me, feeling unheard and ignored. If we aren't residents of an early primary state, chances to actually influence the selection of Presidential candidates are greatly diminished.
This issue touches the very heart of our democracy. Any candidate should have the chance to appeal to the entire populace, not just a select few residing in particular states. The staggered timeline of primary elections starkly undermines this. Statistically speaking, the outcomes of early primaries could sway the opinions of voters in states who cast their votes at a later date or deny them the opportunity to support their preferred candidate.
The proposal is simple, yet vitally important to restoring the notion of equal and fair representation: require all presidential primaries (Democrats, Republicans, etc.) to occur on the same day nationally. Of course, we could acknowledge outmoded traditions by allowing states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and New Mexico to start and end their voting one minute earlier, as a symbolic gesture of preserving history while moving towards the future.
To safeguard our democracy and ensure each American's vote matters, let's require all political party primaries to be conducted on the same nationwide. This is not about partisan politics - it's about ensuring fair representation for every American. Sign this petition and join me in advocating for a just election process.
