It has recently come to light that Mason Greenwood is an abuser, his victim Harriet Robson has posted extremely distressing videos/pictures detailing her abuse. These videos/pictures are in a word shocking. I write this petition in the hopes of achieving the immediate suspension of Mason Greenwood. Manchester United F.C have issued a statement in relation to the incident,-“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established.” Manchester United F.C legally cannot terminate Mason Greenwood’s contract, if they were to, Mason Greenwood very easily could sue for unfair dismissal if he were to be cleared of charges in court, Manchester United F.C have to wait till a verdict is reached before taking any more action. Due to all of this I write this petition in hopes of ensuring Mason Greenwood’s suspension from the club. This is Manchester United’s opportunity to set the standard, the suspension of Mason Greenwood will stand as a statement as footballs no tolerance policy towards violence and abuse.
