RESPECT OUR CITY CENTRE
20 Sept 2016
Thank you SO much for signing the petition and giving your views on the proposal for two giant black towers to loom over Manchester Town Hall - more than 1,650 people already agree with you that they’re in the wrong place. Sadly, though, there are still thousands of people who know nothing at all about this, and who won’t be asked. So - it would be great if you could share our petition with friends, family and colleagues who also value and care about Manchester: chn.ge/2cOXn0R After 27 September the proposals will be finalised and then sent to the Council for planning permission. So there’s not much time left to email the developers directly (enquiries@st-michaels.com) with your views on the plans. The plans aren’t easy to find - you have to go to www.st-michaels.com then look for the tiny letters down at the bottom of the home page - 'download consultation'. They might not be there a week from now, so best to have a look by Monday 26th, probably. Here’s the link to save your eyes! http://bit.ly/2cRmrm0 We promise, though, that the petition won’t stop, or be frozen, on 27th September. It will stay open for signatures, and we’ll let you know when the planning application is sent to the Council and whether there have been any changes. The Council themselves will ask for views at that stage, but again, probably only from a very limited mailing list. However, that won't bar us from telling the Council what we think, and they will have to demonstrate that they've listened. So - BIG thanks again, and please share as widely as you can!!
