Tony Wilson lay the foundation for self belief and confidence in Manchester, and placed it firmly on the global stage.

We now have a thriving micro economy and that can be directly attributable to the promotion of Manchester by Tony Wilson.

Let’s honour his work and give him a permanent statue……he is the greatest ambassador for Manchester, the likes we haven’t seen, in many many decades.
