This year, the Mamaroneck School District cut the PACE Music Department for freshman and juniors. Next year, they plan to cut PACE music in its entirety, taking away an extremely educational and creative outlet for so many students. Not to mention, getting rid of one of Mamaroneck's most loved and impressive shows: Soundscapes. Mr. Derby is the reason this program is so incredible. He cares about each and every student's process as a musician and helps them achieve all of their goals. He is patient and caring.
