Male Students' Comfort Room Renovation & Maintenance in MSU-Malabang Community High School

Male Students' Comfort Room Renovation & Maintenance in MSU-Malabang Community High School
The Issue
Aside from classrooms, comfort rooms are the most important rooms inside a campus. They were named “comfort rooms” for a reason. In our school, these rooms are designed alongside toilets. Students go to these rooms not only to release but also to feel the safe environment, knowing no one can see them. However, for years, the comfort rooms of male students in MSU-Malabang Community High School have numerous damages that require attention for renovation, especially the detached doors and faucets. According to the male students that we interviewed, this has been a problem for them since they have to bring a friend to come with them and guard the door outside to avoid unforeseen circumstances like falling off of the door, they also had to bring flashlights due to the damaged bulbs, and faucets are all almost not working. With the little source of water, the cleanliness of the comfort rooms aren’t maintained. To solve this problem, our group, CRenovated, aims to renovate the males’ comfort rooms to give the students a comfortable and functional comfort rooms to use.
Our goal is to make the males’ comfort rooms as comfortable as the comfort rooms in our homes. The purpose of our project is to give the students clean, bright, and comfortable toilets with functional faucets, and doors for privacy. By giving attention to this problem, we can make this possible and achievable. We will renovate these comfort rooms to stop the students from purposely drinking less and holding themse to use the comfort rooms. This is a big help to the students, especially the junior high students, specifically male students in the campus.
We will require weeks to develop this project. We have already created our own Facebook page to start our promotion, and we will upload there the updates about our project. We also created an online petition with the goal of solving this problem. In addition, we posted a blog on our WordPress site regarding this campaign. The renovation will begin by cleaning the area, installation of the door and new faucets, then we will proceed to repainting the interior of the comfort rooms into white. If this campaign gets developed, we will assign daily cleaners and attach some rules inside to maintain its cleanliness. The work may start on weekends and it is better if it can be finished in two days.
The budget will cover the cost of the door, new faucet, paint, and bulbs. We are actively seeking support and sponsors who share our mission of renovating the boys’ comfort rooms to make them functional and more comfortable to use through our Facebook page, from the municipal mayor, barangay chairman, and all our local government officials.
