The Issue

1.  That this Country has no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

2.  That the Prime Minister’s move to suspend Parliament and democracy in January 2021 has failed to contain the COVID19 pandemic in Malaysia.

3.  That as of 27 May 2021, at 7pm:

(a)  a new record of 7,857 COVID19 cases was reported, Malaysia’s highest daily rise in infections since the start of the pandemic, with 59 COVID19 patients dying today;

(b)  a total confirmed cumulative COVID19 cases of 541,224, and rising;

(c)  a total confirmed cumulative death of 2,491, and rising; and

(d)  the number of COVID19 cases do not show any signs of slowing down.

4.  The government’s latest measures to contain the COVID19 spike are “half-baked” and are not strict or long enough unless strictly enforced without fear or favour.

5.  The government has shown double standards in the enforcement of COVID19 rules, with some ministers and public figures flouting them.

6.  The government’s vaccination programme has been slow, haphazard, and filled with controversy, from queue-jumping to preferential treatment for some.

7.  The government has failed the people of Malaysia (#KerajaanGagal), and the people of Malaysia have lost their confidence and trust in the government.

8.  The people of Malaysia deserve and demand a new government and Prime Minister.
