making periods

making periods
The Issue
so in school all girls, unless have a toilet pass, cant go toilet in lesson. We have to go at break. Some girls are to nervous to go toilet at break as it is very crowded and disgusting. A study by Plan International found that 64% of girls aged 14-21 missed part or a full day of school due to their period, and 13% missed an entire day at least once a month. This highlights the significant impact of periods on girls' education and the need for schools to address these challenges.
Providing Access to Resources:
Schools should provide free or affordable menstrual products and ensure access to clean and private toilets.
Open Dialogue and Education:
Schools should promote open conversations about menstruation and provide accurate information about menstrual health and hygiene.
Supporting Toilet Access:
Schools should ensure toilets are accessible, clean, and equipped with proper facilities for managing menstrual products.
Addressing Stigma:
Schools should create a supportive environment where girls feel comfortable talking about their periods and seek help when needed.
then they are embarrased if they dont have sanitary products and leak.
Mist of the time they have to tell male teachers
i am pettitioning for a box in every school where girls can put an envelope with their names on in the box. this means they are on their period. the office then puts them a temporary period pass for a week, and if it goes on longer, they have to do it every day until it stops
