

Making landlords who break the implied warranty of habitability pay rent abatement
The Issue





Landlord admitted to the violations stated he is attempting to have them fixed however all summer went by and still to date has not fixed the windows or the shingles coming off when I asked for rent abatement I was denied even though he admitted to breaking his obligations as a landlord that affected health safety and international plumbing code his business license was administratively terminated was not renewed until he was made aware by myself. He failed to respond to any of my emotions asking the court to order him to have to supply proof he made the repairs because I was being told he was going to make the repairs but nobody ever came to make them he ended up getting judgment in his favor even though repairs were not made.
