As student athletes it has come to our attention that the equipment cost is not sustainable for some families. These expenses are major barriers for student-athletes to reach their potential in the sport they desire to play. Whether it is Uniforms, Equipment, Registration fees, or Training equipment. The financial burden often falls onto the athlete and his family and in some cases, the athlete is forced to stop pursuing their dreams and goals.

The benefits of participating in sports as a student are immense, offering more than just physical fitness. Studies have shown that to do better academically, develop leadership skills, get better time management, and learn to work better with others. But with the cost of equipment, money can become a problem.

According to a study from the National Federation of State High School Associations, the cost of sports equipment and registration fees ranges from $150 - $500 for each student per 
sport. These prices do not include the specialized equipment some athletes might need, such as football helmets and tennis rackets which can add hundreds of dollars onto the original cost. This affects low-income families which often don't let students benefit from opportunities.

To address these issues we are contacting large sports brands to publish a student-athlete discount. A student-athlete discount will help student-athletes by substantially lowering costs for the ones who can afford it. 

By making sports equipment affordable and accessible, we can ensure all athletes, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to participate in sports despite their families' wealth.
