Make "Work From Home" a Permanent Option for AT&T Employees

Make "Work From Home" a Permanent Option for AT&T Employees
Why this petition matters

Now is the time to make Work From Home (WFH) a permanent option for AT&T Call Center workers, Teleconference Specialists, Communications Technicians, and other eligible work titles. AT&T should also provide compensation towards employees' WI-FI and electricity costs. We also support our members that do want to work outside of home at a central business location and support keeping that an option as well.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, AT&T and our union, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) negotiated a temporary WFH Agreement allowing many job titles the choice of working from home. This agreement which has been previously extended is due to expire in September 2022.
The WFH arrangement has proven extremely beneficial to the workers and the company. WFH provided a safer, more convenient work environment and minimized the spread of COVID-19 among the workforce. Production and attendance rates are both way up. WFH was a necessary adjustment that has proven tremendously popular in what continues to be uncertain times.
CWA Locals 7200 and 7250 initiated this petition - and now co-sponsored by CWA Local 4108 - to let AT&T and CWA know that our members want a permanent, compensated Work From Home option now and going forward into the future. We also support our members that do want to work at a central business location and support keeping this option as well.
