Make War Hammer Space Marine I (2011) Backwards Compatible

The Issue

Hello War Hammer and Space Marine fans,

This is the petition of a non-gaming wife who loves her orange cat gamer husband. I've learned to find interest in my husband, Troy's, games within the literary and creative aspects of the lore of the games. Darktide has become...repetitive.

He really wants to play the first Space Marine (2011) game that Sega currently owns the rights to. The issue is, with this particular Xbox 360 game, it is not backwards compatible. Another mega corporation, Microsoft, who owns Xbox (*cough* Bill Gates. *cough*), shut down the 360 store and also "closed" the list of backwards compatible games for the modern Xbox consoles. Why can't these mega corporation gaming software companies work for gamers who want to enjoy the nostalgia of the first game? If they're willing to pay $70 for a basic package of the newly released Space Marine II, then why not give the curious ones the opportunity to play the game on the modern consoles that they already have?

These guys make all the rules with their corporate rules and such, so why not make our voice heard somehow? They profit off us having to stay home so much because we work so much to keep a roof over our heads, they should give the mighty War Hammer gamers this game and honor their loving families. I need lore and somewhat more interesting background imagery than disproportionate handsome Shrek-looking dudes that are Ogryns with their silly, side guns. Though there was one exception, a Zac Effron-ified looking Hagrid I saw once.

Please, for the love of the almighty, beneficent God Emperor, I need more lore. My husband says that there are Orcs with cockney accents in this first game. I was mystified how they didn't figure how candle flames would fare in an oxygenated space ship when coming up with this Darktide game, but now I may finally have some hard answers.

Hear us, Sega and Microsoft (Bill Gates), we, the working gamers and their families, demand (respectfully of course) that you contact the Harvey Spectors and Mike Rosses of the corporate gaming world to work out your corporate nonsense so you can supply the expressed suggestion to produce backwards compatibility of the Space Marine I (2011) game originally published by THQ on modern Xbox consoles (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One).

GG, and may we get to hear cockney Orcs on modern consoles soon,

Sasse Hemstreet

(and Troy)

P.S.: Gamers, go check out my friend, Sebastian Cabrera's, petition here. He is from Ecuador and has a true fan's heart in his petition. You'll have to translate it (highlight, right click/tap, then translate), but it's really impressive. He deserves to have his voice heard too.
