Wake Med hospitals and specialists currently do not have the "preferred" status for the NC State Health Plan. This means people who have scheduled surgeries and other procedures will have to find new doctors and other hospitals to have their procedures done.  People will have to change specialists who they are happy with because of no fault of their own.  Wake Med was alread "in-network"- State Employees should not be penalized for this random change!  This is not an ethical way to "cut costs".
