With inflation and high gas prices affecting every student in UTA we believe the Administration should alleviate the stress and financial situation by removing all parking fees on students.

Students already subsidize UTA’s employee salaries, construction of new buildings and functions by paying tens of thousands of dollars every year in tuition costs. 

If multiple bureaucrats are able to be paid over a quarter of million dollars surely UTA can cover the cost for parking. The top ten bureaucrats in UTA combined are paid over $4,000,000. Keep in mind that there are thousands of employees and 10 alone have a pool of $4,000,000. The President makes $485,000 a year which is more than what the President of the United States makes. So there are no excuses that parking cannot be free.

Students are the reason why this university exists, why this university is competitive in Texas. Students have done so much for this campus and so it would be greatly appreciated if parking is to be made free for students. 

The University works for the students and taxpayers. Not the other way around.
