Make Titania Gauntlet Gamemode optional - Beasts of Bermuda

Make Titania Gauntlet Gamemode optional - Beasts of Bermuda
The Issue
This petition is for the planned content for the early-access game, Beasts of Bermuda, and toward it's developer team and community. Specifically, this petition requests that the new The Gauntlet game mode be a togglable feature on Isla Titania.
It was announced via a Google Document directed toward Content Creators that the long-awaited Titania map, supposed to be the most performance-optimized map for Beasts of Bermuda, is to be locked to one specific PVP game mode. This new game mode called The Gauntlet caps players at 1.32 unless they decide to participate in a speed-run challenge for the largest dinosaur on a leaderboard. In this challenge, players receive a 15x growth buff, causing them to grow into massive threats in just under a weekend. Players who do not wish to participate in this hardcore speed run challenge are to remain at 1.32 growth, where they are at risk of being overwhelmed by players vying for the top of the leaderboard in The Gauntlet. It was also announced that future cosmetic skins may only be attainable via completing The Gauntlet.
While this growth can be paused and the challenge is optional, it presents very little wiggle room for players who have desperately and loyally waited for a new map to explore. For some players, the map brings visual variety; for others, the map is a necessity for improved performance. Locking the map to a specific game mode decreases the ability that players who enjoy other niches, such as classic survival, realism, roleplay, or chill, can participate in what is new and exciting.
Although the feature is still subject to change and testing, we are petitioning that rather than strong-arm all players into playing a game mode that may not appeal to them, Isla Titania has an option to disable The Gauntlet game mode. We are pleading that the developer team takes this into consideration.
Players seeking to enjoy the game's new content, such as a highly awaited map for visual and performance reasons, should not be strong-armed into playing a specific game style when the game's strongest asset is the various styles in which people can play.
