As a fan and follower of anime in India, it feels like an injustice that 'Suzume,' the highest-grossing anime movie ever in India, is not available for viewing on any OTT platform in our country. This is more than a disappointment; it's a loss for us all. This movie has been a cultural turning point, changing the image and mindset of many Indians towards anime. However, it has been more than 1.5 years since its release in Indian theatres, and we're still waiting for its digital release.

Yet 'Suzume,' a movie that has created waves in the cinema industry, remains scarce. It's not a question of popularity or demand – 'Suzume' broke records and won over large swaths of the population. Despite all this, to this day, it is not available for legal viewing.

We believe that having the highest-grossing anime movie in India, a film which has literally changed people's perception of the genre, not being available to the Indian audience, is a matter of concern. It is high time that companies like Crunchyroll, Netflix, etc. listen to the voice of the anime community.

We kindly request that the relevant authorities make 'Suzume' available on OTA platforms in India. It's important for us, it's important for anime, and it's important for the cultural growth of India. Simply put, the Indian audience deserves access to 'Suzume.'
