Hello there-
It's almost a year since this petition really took off. Since then we've connected with others also calling for change. A lot of folks agree!
To that end, we ask 3 things
- if you are in Seattle this weekend, join the picnic protest When: Saturday, August 3rd 11 am-2 pm. The protest will continue Sunday, August 4, 11-2pm, on the sidewalk only (no picnic). Washington physicians, military veterans, climate activists, and local communities are coming together to say this flagrant use of fossil fuels – and harmful noise and air pollution – must stop.
What: A coalition of organizations and community members will hold a picnic-protest of the Blue Angels airshow, with music, short speeches, informational flyers and earplugs to offer families entering the ticketed area of the event.
2. share this petition! We're pushing it through the Blue Angels/Seafair weekend this weekend to see if we can get to 5k names or more. Your help needed and next we will deliver to the City.
