My name is Jennifer Schuman and I am a mother to two young boys ages 2 and almost 4. My heart breaks for those who have lost children to these senseless school shootings, stabbings, etc. Just yesterday my sons preschool they attend had a phone call threatening to shoot the children. This was their first day back to preschool for the summer program. Enough is enough. The teachers should be able to have locked guns throughout the school that only the staff is able to access. I would feel a lot better knowing the staff could protect our children this way. We also need to add extra security measures to all schools in the United States including always having the doors locked, having a retired armed veteran/police officer/guard at the entrance/entrances, bullet proof doors, and teachers wearing a fob to press for the alarms/call police. No child should have to fear any harm happening to them. Hearing my older son yesterday saying he was scared literally broke my heart. So please sign my petition to add extra security measures to all schools. Thank you for your help!
