We the parents of school-going children are repulsed by the INACTION taken by our higher authorities on the grave matter of KEEPING OUR CHILDREN SAFE FROM SICK, PSYCHOPATHIC PERVERTED RAPISTS in what we call the temple of knowledge - OUR VERY OWN SCHOOLS, our children’s “second home.”

The Podar school incident where a 3 year old was raped by a peon, to the most recent MURDER OF 7-YEAR OLD PRADYUMAN in Delhi, and many such sociopathic abuse crimes, have shaken me up and given me sleepless nights and to many citizens across India!

In order to MAKE SCHOOLS SAFE AGAIN, ALL SCHOOLS must follow the below-mentioned guidelines to safeguard our children:

a. CCTV cameras (with night vision) be placed in all nooks and obscure corners in the school building, and footage should be shared with parents
b. Children’s washrooms are to have TWO FEMALE ATTENDANTS, in case one is gone some place, and no access to be given to staff or outsiders
c. School should restrict access to outsiders, including non-teaching staff, to foyer area  during school hours
d. RFID tags for all students
e. Psychometric evaluation to be done for non teaching staff, bus drivers, conductor, other support staff from time to time, Thorough staff verification,  certificate of character from previous employer prior to employment, police verification to be done, rechecks too be done.
f. Mandatory regular counseling for all school staff, including peons, teachers, security etc.
g. Mandatory periodic counseling to all students, teachers, non teaching staff and security
h. School is solely responsible for the well-being of all students within their premises and adequate precautions need to be taken on outdoor field trips
i. Close check on children given to parents at the end of school, using the photo id issued by school
j. Basic self-defense need to be taught in all schools
k. All school buses need a GPS tracker on them, and bus CCTV feed to be shared with parents
l. PTA allowed to do random surprise audit of school on safety issues
m. Accreditation in A category for the schools only if they undergo 3rd party audit by reputed international auditors like SGS, BVQI etc, approved by education board
n. Sex education is compulsory for students, teachers, non-teaching staff, security & even parents!

Please help us help the nation.  Lets get 100,000 signatures on this petition to help bring necessary reforms in schools.
