In my high school there are 20 minutes of lunch. This is stupid for several reasons: the lunch line takes over ten minutes to get through leaving no time for lunch, twenty minutes is barely enough time to eat anything unless you shove it down your throat as fast as you can and, lunch is for many the most social time of their day as it is a time away from curriculum with their friends but when lunch is split up into many 20 minute segments people can’t talk to their friends or if they are in the same lunch period they can’t interact much because they have to eat their lunch in the unreasonable amount of time. Lunch is an important meal and one of the few times you can talk to your friends. Along with that at my school we have a hour long 5th period that we don’t even do anything in. Help me make schools in NC require a reasonable amount of time for our lunch and sign now.
