We are a group of High School students in Lafayette, Colorado working on a public safety project. South Public Road is a prominent road in our community that we believe has inadequate street lighting, putting pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and other community members at risk - especially at night.

We are asking the city of Lafayette to conduct an official Road Safety Audit (RSA) of South Public Road so that safety experts can assess whether the lighting meets established standards and recommend improvements. We want to present this petition to Lafayette City Council to demonstrate that this is not just our concern, but a concern shared by our broader community.
