In our neighborhood, we find ourselves caught in an unfair situation. We are shouldering the responsibility of maintaining the ponds through a maintenance fee without receiving any support from our neighbors. What's more baffling is that, despite contributing financially, we have no actual access to these ponds because they're private.

It seems only fair that the maintenance of these ponds should not be a shared responsibility across the entire neighborhood, especially since no one benefits from the access of these natural beauties.

There are viable solutions to resolve this issue. The neighborhood association or homeowner's association can re-evaluate the community fee. By engaging with all homeowners in decision-making and voting, the maintenance fees can be removed and left to the pond owners.
