Students that live on campus know just how expensive the price of living is at Altoona. Between the price of our dining hall and how expensive it is to do laundry, a lot of students have financial trouble. It shouldn't be this way. The Penn State Altoona Campus should be much more affordable, not only because there is no reason for these things to be so pricy, but Penn State should be better than this.

Because the cost of living is so high at the Penn State Altoona campus, students often have to take out loans, work as much as they can, miss out on social events, and lose sleep over worrying about how they're going to eat in the future. 

While this is not an issue specific to Penn State Altoona, this is an issue the campus needs to address and revisit for the students. We need reasons- why is the price of laundry so high? Why do our meal plans have to be so expensive? Students pay tens of thousands of dollars just in tuition. Why do we also have to worry about dorm costs, food costs, laundry charges, and even paying from paper at the printer?
