Nice day to all Vietcong or Vietnam war video game fans.

It's now 20 years since Vietcong released. It was a game with a great atmosphere, world, story, gameplay, characters and many others things. It sold thousands of units and changed the industry forever. It was one of the first game to introduce first person aiming, first person cover system, realistic settings and hardcore gameplay that was almost impossible on the highest settings.

With this introduction, I want to tell you the problem. 

After this success, Take-Two (yes, the same people who own GTA, Mafia, Borderlands, Bioshock) wanted a quick money. So they told the Pterodon studio that made Vietcong to make a sequel in less than 2 years. This is impossible time to make a quality game, but the developers managed to make it. But it was full of bugs, the HW had to be to high and it was very arcade-like. It's lost the atmosphere and tension of the game before. So the studio bankrupt and the developers joined 2K Czech (yes, the studio behind Mafia that was also controled by greedy Take-Two.

Even after all these problems, people are still playing online multiplayer of Vietcong all over the world. The community is big and there is a lot of fan mods and even remasters. But I and a lot of other people are not happy with just that. We would love to see our loved/favorite game to go live again and see it in a new way and become Hawkins again.

So, there is not big chance, that this could work out, but I still think we can try it. We deserve a official remake/remaster or at least some care.
