Dear Government,
We, the undersigned, are writing to petition you to not take property and make nursing homes cheaper. We believe that this is a necessary step to ensure that our elderly loved ones have access to the care they need and deserve.
The cost of nursing home care has been rising steadily for years, and it is now out of reach for many families. This is forcing people to make difficult choices, such as selling their homes or going into debt in order to pay for care.
In addition, the quality of care in nursing homes has been declining. This is due to a number of factors, including staffing shortages and budget cuts. As a result, many residents are not receiving the care they need.
We believe that the government has a responsibility to ensure that our elderly loved ones have access to affordable, high-quality care. We urge you to take action to address the rising cost of nursing home care and the declining quality of care.
Specifically, we ask that you:
Do not take property from people who need nursing home care.
Make nursing homes cheaper by providing more funding and by regulating the industry more closely.
Improve the quality of care in nursing homes by increasing staffing levels and by enforcing quality standards.
We believe that these steps are necessary to ensure that our elderly loved ones are treated with dignity and respect. It should not take 5 years after your property is signed over to someone to make sure your property may not be taken by the government. Some of us need help right away to give adequate care for a loved one, we don't have the time but also the costs for help are so outrageous. Something needs to be done. We pay SO MUCH in taxes for us to be treated like this.
