All students are required to take a class called Wellness their first year at NHS. The curriculum for the class lacks coverage of certain MA Health standards, including those that existed before the additions in June 2023. Wellness class isn't comprehensive or inclusive, making many students uncomfortable.

There shouldn't be a class that results in student eating disorders. There shouldn't be a class that makes students afraid to ask questions. There shouldn't be a class that lacks discussion of queer sex. There shouldn't be a class that shows videos meant to scare students into compliance.

We demand an inclusive curriculum that covers all health standards. One that considers students mental health and teaches in a positive light.

We demand the Wellness curriculum and class we deserve.
