I play Netball and train 4 times a week. I also serve as an umpire and faithfully follow the Suncorp Super Netball League. This isn't merely a sport for me; it's a passion, a calling, and a way of life. Netball is a sport that fosters teamwork, promotes physical fitness, and encourages strategic thinking. However, despite netball's popularity - it is played by roughly 20 million people in more than 80 countries (source: International Netball Federation) - this sport has yet to be recognized on the world's most prestigious athletic stage - The Olympics.

Netball, although lesser-known in countries like the US, has established strong footholds in countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Britain. It also serves as a medium for women empowerment, and has traditionally been a sport played primarily by women, making its Olympic recognition even more crucial in highlighting women's contribution in sports. We believe it is time for the International Olympic Committee to seriously consider the inclusion of netball in the Olympic sport roster.
