The Palestinian cause is a human issue that transcends religious affiliations. It has come to our attention that Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has been systematically censoring objective Palestinian content. This censorship particularly targets posts covering events in Gaza following the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

This arbitrary censorship not only stifles free speech but also hinders global understanding and awareness about the situation in Palestine. According to a report by The Intercept (2021), over 200 posts related to Palestine were removed or restricted by Facebook during May 2021 alone.

Censoring objective content that merely covers what is happening in Gaza IS DISINFORMATION. The Guardian (2022) reported that despite Meta's claims of fighting fake news, numerous instances of disinformation continue unabated on its platforms.

We urge Meta to uphold its commitment towards allowing diverse voices and perspectives on its platforms. We demand an immediate end to this biased censorship and call for more transparency in their content moderation policies.
